Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄大學 === 都市發展與建築研究所 === 98 === Also, Ministry of Railways delegates authority to Taiwan Railways Administration and National Taiwan Museum to cooperate on the best solution between city developments and maintenance of industrial heritage. With the reference documents of industrial heritage in Taiwan or other foreign countries, the essay concludes some problems of maintenance and reuse of industrial heritage. By the methods of analysis, the essay develops some assessments for reuse planning, and with the different ranges, the assessments are divided into four basic parts, Position Environment,Construction Influence, Law Standard and Limit, Reuse for Museum. Other assessment conditions would expand more factors involved. The base environment is chiefly estimated whether its land type and land shape are suitable for different redevelopments or extension in the future; position availability and traffic convenience are the potential assessments for lands reusing; land ownership and neighborhood developing plan have some influences on lands reusing as well. In order to estimate diversity of space types, there are three cautions, the appropriateness for reusing, focus on historical values of buildings, and many kinds of maintenance methods. In terms of legal restrictions, the essay emphasizes on the laws of space reusing, which are included in Culture Heritage Preservation Law. The measures and complete set both depend on space uniqueness. The assessment of reusing as a museum mainly aims at considerations for museum space design, how exhibits are arranged in the respect of its original space, the sufficiency of facilities and fire safety equipments. The system of museum environment navigation and visitors participation is a hot issue. Moreover, completely maintaining the original industrial heritage is the basic rule of reusing as a museum. In the end of the essay, ex-Ministry of Railways is the target of action. With the assessment factors mentioning above, the essay develops estimation of active maintenance and reuse of Ministry of Railways, offering ten strategies of reusing to National Taiwan Museum, which is taking charge of Railways Museum planning. Meanwhile, these assessments and strategies hopefully awaken Taiwan Railways Administration to respect its own railways heritage, to make more possibilities of creative reusing elements in Taiwan railways culture.
