碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 資訊管理系 === 98 === Bayesian network is a graphical model for probabilistic relationships among a set of variables.Bayesian network is often used to learn causal relationships among variables, gain understanding about a problem domain, and predict the consequences of intervention. Researchers have developed methods for learning Bayesian networks from data and have shown Bayesian network as a remarkably effective method for data-modeling problems. To thoroughly understand the Bayesian network methodology, we start with the basic ideas of Bayes' Theorem and empirical Bayes method along with some illustrating examples. The goal of this thesis is to gain better understanding how the Bayesian network method works and hopefully to appropriately apply Bayesian network to solve practical problems.
