Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 化學工程系 === 98 === The aim of this research is to study the design and control of fermentor with cell recycle. First, we use various type of cell-recycle fermentor with different substrate concentration of feed, and use the suitable kinetic model to do simulation by Matlab. Second, we optimize each continuous fermentation process by two kinds of objective functions respectively to search for the best operating condition, and discuss each fermentation process with performance of overall productivity and total conversion. Finally, we hope operating variable to return to set point in the shortest time when system with disturbance, the control strategies are overall productivity and lactic acid concentration of each stage. In the fermentation of process B, simulation results demonstrate that the effective control is provided by a control strategy that use dilution rate to control overall productivity, another control strategy that use the first stage bleed ratio to control the first stage lactic acid concentration, and use the dilution rate to control the second stage lactic acid concentration, and use the second stage bleed ratio to control the third stage lactic acid concentration.
