In the past, semiconductor distributors are only being the mid-dle men to buy things from producers; furthermore, sell them and earn a little from their customers. But now, the middle men alter their jobs to assist the factories to ex-tend their work. Semiconductor distributors, the middle men, will probably help the customers to organize their components and so on nowadays. “Semiconductor Sup-ply chain” has already expanded their scope of business, including stretching the skills, financing the bills, controlling the products et cetera.
There are lots of brand new competitors entering into the semiconductor markets. These competitors inspire others to work harder for surviving in this tough situation. Because of working harder, the semiconductor company could earn more, but also in-crease the cost. Therefore, the profit decreases and let the company have a financial problem. Thus, some of employees don’t want to stay in this company anymore and it also brings out the tough maintaining situation. That’s the reason why there are so many mergers between semiconductor companies. The large companies would turn out to be-come bigger.
Nowadays, semiconductor distributors are going to become traditional electron technology, which means they aren’t as popular as before. Lots of semiconductor dis-tributors decide to provide their customers more services, such as assisting the custom-ers for designing and so on. For example, assisting the customers for design-ing could shorten time for designing by their selves; besides, the customers could also let the products enter into the market earlier. For these reasons, semiconductor distribu-tors decide to alter their jobs from only business into design and combine the compo-nents. It will be a trend that semiconductor distributors change their business styles. In this new generation, supply chain management must be also adjusting to new semicon-ductor distributors styles, which means supply chain might change as well.
The research takes Sunnic Technology & Merchandise Company for example. In this research, we’ll introduce this company from the normal semiconductor distributors alter into the new styles for adjusting this new generation. We’ll have suggestions for this company about their strength and weakness of supply chain management changes and the opportunities for changing styles. We hope this report will assist this case com-pany to improve their supply chain management and higher this effectiveness. Moreover, we hope this case company will find the way in this report for earning more and de-creasing their cost in the future.
