The cost of a note book computer adaptor is less than one percent of the total note book computer cost. But if the adaptor fails at customer side, the note book computer will not able to work at all. The result is poor user experience and then impact to customer satisfaction. The bad customer satisfaction influent to the market share directly. So the study of how to improve adaptor quality is essential and necessary. To address the issue above,the master thesis studies the quality improvement process by a note book computer branded company and its two major adaptor suppliers A and B. Firstly, to study how the branded company defines a new quality index-AFR. Secondly, organize a task force team by quality and procurement team and use the quality index to proceeds the quality improvement process. Finally, the adaptor suppliers implement the corrective actions base on the finding from return adaptors. The result shows, the adaptor AFR has been improved from 0.85% to 0.58% in one year. It means the profit after tax increases 9,511 thousand NT dollars, reduce 68,360 customer complain and save 10,937 thousands NT dollars quality issue management cost.
