The absorption spectrum and emission spectrum indicated compound 160 possesses good ability of intramolecular charge transfer and broad absorb band compared to other three dyes. All four dyes are light-sensitive and prone to decrease after constant light irradiation All of these dyes were tested as sensitizers for the DSSCs.
