The gloomy quietness, rich and various tone colors, and production methods of lacquer possess a modest and gentle humanity temperament. The evolvement of lacquer art started from traditional functional ware to present artistic expression; the changing process contains the beauty of the material itself, the aesthetic of artificial craftsmanship, and the aesthetic spirit of art, developing an everlasting series of fantastic art creation. Since ancient times, the various kinds of visual appearance of lacquer enriched the expressions of utensils; therefore, the aspect of surface finishing became a very worthy subject to study. The emphasizes of the lacquer visual appearance in this research, which significance is secondarily to the decorative expression of lacquer, is mostly due to the reason of the emergence bodiless lacquer ware and the characteristic of how other materials can become body of the lacquer ware. The goal of this research is to use traditional lacquer technique as a foundation, further on, promoting the value application of the body to overthrow the traditional appearance of lacquer; thus, the crystal clear glass became the first choice for the breakthrough of the body. The combination of the conflict and harmony of these two materials later on developed into a distinct series of artistic visual creation. This study confers the visual appearance of the lacquer that is made on the glass body, at the same time, classifying the different production methods of the glass body; followed as: 1.The visual expression of lacquer on fusing glass and slumping glass 2. The visual expression of lacquer on cast glass 3. The visual expression of lacquer on blowing glass. The method of combing glass and lacquer to create lacquer art creation can be processed in two ways: sandblasting the smooth surface of glass or the application of an indirect agent on the surface of the glass. The art creations made emphasizes the importance of the combination of diverse materials, overthrowing the choice of traditional bodies used in lacquer and promoting its value. This research has a total of three series of art work, employing the complicated and exquisite fine lacquer techniques to blend the traditional and modern element into the transparent glass, therefore, the usage of transparent body created a new visual expression in the domain of lacquer art.
