The Cochin Pottery is molded with the combinations of sculptures, drawing, panting and colored glaze which becomes most represented crafts in Taiwan tradition folk custom. In additional, the temple in the traditional society is not only a center as inhabitants’ place of belief but also a place to deliver knowledge. The transitional masters put there best technique into these designed craft based on historical events making it informative and enriching architecture’s decorations. In the last few decades, Taiwan is focusing more on cultural values increasing in historical research and related traditional techniques. Currently, the Cochin Pottery research in Taiwan is highly influenced by Hong Kun-Fu and Yeh Wang. There are less data and information regarding the Su Yang-Shui’s system as well as the work of its apprentice Jhu Chao Fong. Besides this, Jhu Chao Fong learned from Su Yang-Shui. He has also considered as one of important modern master. He worked mostly in place as Taoyuan, Hsinchu , Maoli but also done some work in Japan’s Aichi prefecture which his work was deeply appreciated. Therefore, this article hoped to penetrate on field investigation and interview of other people which are influenced by this craft.
