This paper focuses on Prokofiev’s early work, the Piano Sonata No. 2 in d, Op. 14, composed in 1912. This sonata may be considered as an early minute reflection of Prokofiev’s mature style. In terms of form, it is an authentic classical sonata containing four movements. In terms of compositional technique, Prokofiev has broken various traditional rules. In this paper, the author attempts to analyze how Prokofiev “brings new musical syntax to the traditional framework of form” and lays a solid foundation for Russian piano music in terms of harmony, melody, tonality, form and rhythm. In this paper, Prokofiev’s d minor sonata will be analyzed in four chapters. Chapter 1 is an introduction. Chapter 2 focuses on the artistic life of Prokofiev and Russian piano music. Chapter 3 describes the musical style and innovative techniques of Prokofiev. Chapter 4 collates and analyzes the four movements of the sonata to provide advice for performance. By studying and analyzing Prokofiev’s d minor sonata, the author hopes to fully understand the compositional techniques of the composer and to further interpret this work in order to help pianists better capture the essence of the sonata. 洪佳穗 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 86 zh-TW |
