| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 區域政策與發展研究所 === 98 === Since the Council for Cultural Affairs of R.O.C. proposed the idea - "Total Community Construction” in 1994,it includes four principles - "from-bottom-to-up," "self-autonomy," "residents to participate," and "sustainable development" – integrating people, culture, land, landscape, and producing to community construction which become the foundation of community sustainable development. Due to the impaction of the concept of sustainable development, it’s needed to inject the concept of sustainable development and the establishment of a new strategic direction. The goal of community development is to integrate community economic, social, and environmental issues. It achieves the vision of sustainable communities including environment protection, economic development, and social equity. Provides the ideas including community establish the local development and sustainable development.
This case studies the Yong-An Community of Luye Township. The researchers reviewed the literature and conducted in-depth interviews to explore the experience of community construction and current working status of community resource and community maintenance in Yong-An Community of Luye Township. Sustainable community development is implemented by discussing the role of community sustainable development deeply, and the status of promoting the sustainable development of the community.
The Study found that the Yong-An Community had developed the core object and established the ability of operating community organization during promoting sustainable development in current. The works in community also can be done appropriate with adjustment and correction through community partnerships integrate internal and external resources. The most important part is that community residents participate in public affairs. By participating the practical affairs of the community, sense of community congregated to consolidate the sustainability of community development.
Community has to consider to community autonomy, community marketing and packaging, and management mechanism in sustainable development in the future. These three factors are important and affect sustainable development of the Yong-An Community. Finally, understanding community issues, making improvements direction, and establishing community sustainable development mechanism provide stakeholders to promote issues related to this reference and expect that creates long-term benefit for the Yong-An Community to promote sustainable development of the community.
