At the age of sixty-two, Haitani has published a series of his books named “The Eyes of Heaven”, which expressed his viewpoints at children and at education in detail. From the way Haitani discussed about the minds of children in terms of family traits or to the degree of educational phenomenon, his care about children and his ideas about education were well-displayed; on the other hand, a strong will to survive in the world of children was demonstrated as well. By the writing manners of tenderness and determination, Haitani has proved his strength in terms of literature. Becoming aware of the truth of life, Haitani brought up the bright side of life into his publications and helped much more people see the goodness inside children by using children’s points of view to write his books, and as a result led people to life journeys that filled with brightness. By means of reading Haitani’s books and becoming aware of the hidden philosophy about life inside his books, people are able to retrieve the strength and then heal their minds. This research explored the influences on children’s minds in terms of family relation and school education. To associate the relationship between children’s world and human’s in Haitani’s books, a perspective of life was indicated, i.e., no one is perfect. However, after a thorough self-reflection, one is able to transform bad situations into good ones by means of facing the defects and having the courage to make changes. What Haitani has contributed to children literature and education has made his publications profound significance and masterpieces in Japan. His consideration about education has reflected invisible defects and crisis in families. As well, it has helped bring up impacts, no matter positive or negative, that school education under different ideas has had on children’s minds.
