The Causes of Academic Underachievement due to Unsuitable Life for Children of Convicted Felons in Junior High School

碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 教育學系(所) === 98 === In this study, children of convicted felons are in junior high schools who are struggling to have a successful educational achievement are mainly the results due to following reasons. Form our document analysis and interview research two children of prisoners were interviewed seven times individually for the study and also in order to increase the credibility, the report also gather information by interviewing the mothers of children of convicted felons and spouse who knows two prisoners through telephone. The research main discovery: First, poor academic achievement because the father was the negative impact that disrupts the family structure, peer pressure, unhealthy life, public critivizism, financial struggles, puberal misbehavior, lack of academic supports to academic supports lead to irresponsible behavior. Second, the important for poor academic achievement measures include: school assistance, the assistance from social institutions. Important recommendations of this study: First, actively seeking financial support within these families. Second, helping the mother of convicts’ children has the right attitude and approach parenting Third, establishing proper nirtue values for their children as well as increases their problem-solving capability
