碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 統計學系 === 98 === The requirement for a police officer to be able to get a monthly payment after retirement is her/his work experience has to reach 25 years and she/he has to be over 50 years old. In recent years, many police officers apply for retirement soon after they fulfill the requirement. It is then important to understand what factors influence their satisfaction after their retirement so the government may use them to establish policies for future retirees. Surveys were mailed to more than 700 retired police offices. The auestionnaire includes various aspects of satisfactions, demographics, interactions with families etc. Regression model and multivariate analysis of variance were used to assess the association between various aspects of satisfactions and other predictors. We found that the retired police officers, who were more satisfied, when they had more leisure activities, chose monthly retired payment, did more regular exercise and live with their children and did not have cataract. Consequently, it can provide government to establish policy to take care of retired policy officers and offer some volunteer works so they can be more satisfied.
