The purpose of this research is to interpret the current status of health promotion lifestyle, emotional management and subjective fatigue about the elementary school teachers; analyze how the personal background affects the above issues;dissect the correlations among them; then explore what significant predicting variables of the subjective fatigue.
The present research adopted questionnaire survey by picking up 13,367 duly qualified teachers in the regular classes of Taipei County public elementary schools as population in order to do the stratified random sampling. The sample number was from 51 elementary schools in Taipei County and in totality 774 teachers. 713 copies of questionnaires were recovered and the recovery rate amounted to 95.83%;The number of the effective questionnaires was 658 with a valid rate at 88.44%.The research tool was “the questionnaire survey on the health promotion lifestyle ,emotional management and subjective fatigue of elementary school teachers in Taipei County ”.The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics and Pearson Product-moment correlation, multiple regression analysis and was verified to obtain the research results as follows:
1. The research result of health promotion lifestyle is medium-high with positive deviation. In this field, the highest score was the nutrition and the lowest was exercise; the emotional management research is medium-low with positive deviation. In this field, the highest score was the emotional adjustment and the lowest was emotional reflection;The subjective fatigue research is medium-low with positive deviation. In this field, the highest score was the local abnormal and the lowest was common fatigue.
2. There were significant difference in the variables of teachers’ ages ,years of work, self-aware health statuses on the health promotion lifestyle according to their groups mostly;there were significant difference in the variables of teachers’ genders ,religions, self-aware health statuses on the emotional management;there were significant difference in the variables of teachers’ genders, positions, teaching-hours, self-aware health statuses on the subjective fatigue.
3. The health promotion lifestyle and emotional management have showed an inverse proportional effect on subjective fatigue;The health promotion lifestyle in this research has showed a directly proportional effect on emotional management.
4. The significant predicted variables of the subjective fatigue are self-aware health statuses, positions, emotional awareness, nutrition, emotional expression, health responsibility and self-actualization. The explanatory power of self-aware health status is the largest.
The study recommends emphasizing the importance of regular exercise habits, periodical medical examination, and health-responsible lives for elementary school teachers; in schools, holding more training seminars about emotional reflection, training teachers to have good emotional management; building teachers’ vision care system, concerning about the symptoms of fatigue of teachers’ eyes and relieving teachers’ subjective fatigue.
