The university orchestra plays an important role in the music education and the professional training, the survey of orchestra's performance appraisal is to improve the quality of performance and promote the responsibility of education. This research is based on the CORPS model proposed by Dr. Seetoo, and refers to archives of “the management of the non-profit organization, the management of the performing arts associations, the target of the higher education evaluation” and Delphi technique to propose a performance appraisal for university orchestras. The purpose of this study is to suggest that the university orchestras should face it squarely on the strategy of management, which helps to view the internal operation of orchestras and develop a distinctive and successful model. Based on analysis of research result, the study presents the university orchestra performance appraisal target, which is divided into two parts: one is the orchestras’ self-assessment includes five items, and the other is about the audience. According to these analyses, the most important core target is “the result of students’ learning” and “the professional competencies of teachers,” which reveal the integrity of organization and education to strengthen the university orchestras’ cha characteristics.
