Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 教育傳播與科技研究所 === 98 === The research discussed the visual appeal with first impression of children's websites in Taiwan, and the effect on the visual appeal with user performance and perceived visual aesthetic. The research contained two experiments. In experiment 1, the main purpose is gather the highest, middle, and least degree on visual appeal of children's websites to served as the experiment samples in experiment 2. In experiment 2, the purpose is to test the user performance and perceived visual aesthetic with tasks on the website samples.
On the task performance, the result showed that children users complete tasks with least time on the mid-degree visual appeal websites and spend the most time on the high degree visual appeal websites. It indicated that the visual appeal degree of children's websites is positively affected the efficiency. However, the accuracy of task performance was not significant with visual appeal of websites. On the perceived visual aesthetic, the result indicated that visual appeal degree of children's websites is remarkably positive affect the usability and playfulness on children performance, while pleasure and service quality are not significant with visual appeal degree of children's websites.
