Developing language learning materials via computer and Internet has become a new aspect to development of Chinese language teaching. Especially, online Chinese word recognition learning materials have the most developmental potential. The purpose of this study is to establish an instruction website on radical recognition instruction, and hope it’s helpful for non-native speakers of Chinese of Chinese word recognition learning. The experimental process proceeded three weeks. There are two classes (30 Chinese language learners) as participants in the study. One class is the experimental group, and the other is the control group. The study adopts quasi-experimental research method. In the study, the researcher uses the words recognition examination, interviews and classroom observation records to collect data. The experimental group engages in the instruction activities through the instruction website on radical recognition instruction. According to the instruction experiment conducted in this study as well as the results of analysis, findings are as follows: using "word recognition instruction website on radical recognition instruction" in learning is effective for capability of “word recognition,” “dictation,” “listening and choice,” “chacter combination,” “word spelling,” and “phrase making”of the students. Using “word recognition instruction website on radical recognition instruction” in Chinese word recognition instruction can indeed promote the Chinese language learners in their capability of word recognition. 劉遠楨 學位論文 ; thesis 152 zh-TW
