To play tai-chi well, the player needs to completely relax and soften himself. The consciousness leads to a series of movements. Playing tai-chi is just like a constant dialogue between the consciousness and the physical muscle. Steadily playing tai-chi for years can not only improve the health but also prolong the life span. The thesis is focused on the physical experience study, and specifically on how to connect the player’s consciousness with physical movements. This research employs a qualitative approach. Based principally on the personal experience and the journal and partly on the interview with the members of Zhi-rou Tai-chi Fit-keeping Institute, the researcher claims that in process of playing tai-chi, most of the members can feel comfortable, joyful, tremulous, rhythmical, fluctuating, vacant and air-massive. Physical sensuousness is produced by means of catching tai-chi’s essentials: relaxation and flexibility. Furthermore, the study of physical sensuousness inspires the members to exhibit their own characteristics in addition to having sense of achievement and indirectly to promote their skills and capacity of playing tai-chi. The researcher discovers that the physical sensuousness of Zhi-rou members comes out of the long-term tai-chi movements. And the movements are influenced by the members’ consciousness, skills and living experiences. Such a physical experience becomes a kind of spiritual satisfaction as well as a passage to purify their hasty and uneasy minds. Chia-Yao Li 李加耀 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 178 zh-TW |
