Using qualitative research, interviews were the primary sources with the support of observations and artifacts in data collection. Through these methods, this study also aimed to provide recommendations for the future study. The findings of this study were summarized as follows: 1.The current status of service integration: The condition and operation of collaboration encompassed motive from professional private relation, partner and source of diversification, cooperation diversity, the formal and informal ways of communication, and the assessment team in Taipei Child Assessment and Early Intervetion Center between interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary model. The relationship of collaboration involved interactive and independent. Professionals indicated that the benefits of this collaboration included direction cooperation, consultation, communication, convenience to access the resources, and time saving for parents. They further suggested improvement in working settings and appliances. 2.The dilemma of service integration: In the perspective of unit system includes the restriction of goal and job, and the limit of role and position ect.; in the perspective of integrated policy; in the perspective of personnel includes the differences between each others’ expectations and perceptions, the low willingness to collaborate and the high turnover rate etc.; in the perspective of time. 3.The influence of factors on service integration The factors included: the policy influenced the direction of collaboration; the rules of institution influenced the content and willingness of collaboration; the members influenced the cohesion of cooperation; and the time influenced the opportunity of collaboration. 4.Professionals’ suggestions for future improvement Enact well-planned integrated policy, establish the integrated units and mechanisms, and provide opportunities for sharing and communications among professionals.
