Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 98 === This piece of chamber music is inspired by the famous Chinese poem The Song of Unending Sorrow. It is a long poem written by Bai Juyi, a famous Chinese poet of the Tang dynasty.
It is composed by three movements. The first movement, Ni Shang, describes the booming of the Tang dynasty and the romance of Emperor Li Longji and Yang Yuhuan; the second movement, Mai Yu, describes the sorrow of Li Longji over Yang Yuhuan's death; the third movement, Jing Bian, describes the rebellion of An Shi.
By the combination of Chinese drama and modern music, The Song of Unending Sorrow will be presented in the genre of chamber music. This article composed of four chapters. The first chapter discusses the idea of music; the second and third chapters describe the methodology and manipulation of the music composition; the fourth chapter make the layout the description of each movement.
