Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 社會與區域發展學系碩士班 === 98 === The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of Google Earth integrates the geography teaching and the traditional information integrates on the academic achievement in position and scope for Junior High School students at different ability level . This study adopted quasI-experiment method, seven grade new students of two classes were randomly selected as subjects . The experiment group received Google Earth integrates the geography teaching,and the control group received the traditional narrative teaching method . Both groups received pre-test and post-test on position and scope achievement test. And the experiment group filled out the Survey on Google Earth integrates the geography teaching . Finally the experiment ended one month later, two group of students carried on one time “the position and the scope again really do comment the quantity to delay the examination”. Two teaching models were analyzed by SPSS statistical analysis to evaluate the after-test score different between students in two classes . The date was examined by t-test,two-factor analysis of convariance,simple major effect test and the results are as fallows:
1.There is no significant interaction between teaching method and ability level on the after-test score of social science acdademic achievement.
2.There is significant on the after-test score of social science acdademic achievement for students of different ability level.
3.There is significant on the after-test score of social science acdademic achievement for different teaching method.
4.There is significant on the after-test score of social science acdademic achievement for students of same ability level who are taught with different teaching method.
5.Under different teaching method, in the student studies the retention effect to delay in the examination score to have the significance difference.
6.Result of learing opinion survey for students in experimental group as follows:
Overall,about 90% students of the experimental group hold positive opinion toward the Google Earth integrates the geography teaching approach, and believe that it could enhance learning interest and learning ability .
Finally according to research results, we provide suggestion to teachers, school administration and future studies.
