Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 社會與區域發展學系碩士班 === 98 === This study is an example of Campus and School District of Guang-Ming Elementary School(GMES), Tao-Yuan County. According to the concept of information display of Digital Earth, 2D images transfer to 3D geospatial information on Google Earth(GE). The information includes these constructions of Virtual Reality(VR) and Attribute Data. They can completely present on Virtual Campus and School District through this information. The purpose of this study is to discuss the effects of spatial cognition on 6th grade students of elementary school. The constructions of VR are based on the techniques of Geometry-based and Image-based VR. The scenes of GBVR are built by Google SketchUp into 3D spatial models. The information displays on GE from KMZ files. 360˚ cylindrical photos of Image-based VR are taken with a fixed digital camera tripod. They are stitched into a cylindrical panoramic image by Cool 360 software. We display EXE files with the browser and provide students to observe. This study is designed materials by self to test first, including spatial cognitive ability and cognitive map. Then, the students are divided into 360˚ panoramic image group and 3D VR model group to proceed teaching. We will test them again after teaching. According to data before and after, we use the SPSS software to analyze and understand the difference of two groups. The results show that teachings of two groups in spatial cognitive ability and cognitive map are to enhance results. The results of gender and spatial cognitive ability are not significant, but the performance of cognitive map is female better than male. The performance of cognitive map of living time is best by 6-10 year group. The spatial familiars of students considering are not related with the test. The results of Pathfinder: Pretest score is higher in 360˚ panoramic image group, if the big difference before and after the test, the performance is better in the Pathfinder. Pretest score is lower in 3D VR model of group, if the big difference before and after the test, the performance is better in the Pathfinder. In interview, two groups consider a positive and proactive approach in teaching views. Finally, suggestions of process and result of this study and how to apply by VR in various fields have to be follow-up and do further research and discussion.
