Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 輪機工程系 === 98 === A storage tank with vacuumed double hull structure is designed, and analyzed with stress analysis. The double hull storage tanks with injected form between interlayer had been widely used in the design and manufacturing for the insulating purposes. This is an innovative design concept with higher insulating effects for the thermal insulation purposes. The structure will be designed to be vacuumed between hulls to access the optimal thermal insulating effects. The glass fiber reinforced plastics (GFRP) will be selected for the future manufacturing material of the storage tank. The stress analysis will be executed with ANSYS software by the ANSYS Incorporated. In order to avoid the buckling of the outer hull, the structure will be reinforced with the stiffening ring on the outer hull. The spacing of the ring will be checked with the optimal design of the result of the analysis. The result of the stress analysis will be compared with the experimental testing result of the hull testing specimen. The result will be compared and be discussed.
