This research used “National Road Cycling at Ping-tung (Changzhi - Linlo) County as an example, researcher guided us into the environment with systematic sign design, it allows readers to understand the humanity, culture and history in Pingtung County in more meaningful way. The mixed methods research was employed in this study. Literature review, field study, expert interview and questionnaire were used by researcher in order to obtain accurate data. Researcher classifies the environmental sign system into two different systems by sorting the character of sign system, function and rule in the environment of cycling way. Two systems include: basic and application systems. The sign system blended the vision rule with bikeway in entire Ping-tung County and connected it with peripheral spots so the users can interact with the environment, therefore the local environment and cultural feature can be propel. The researcher hope the result of this research can bring the anticipation while government constructing the bikeways.
