Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 健康促進與衛生教育學系在職進修碩士班 === 98 === The purposes of this study were to investigate the sleeping quality, and the relationships among background factors, life stress, sleeping health, and sleeping quality for the fifth- and sixth-grade students in Changhua City. The samples were selected by stratified cluster sampling from the elementary schools in Changhua city for collecting data by the structured questionnaire. The number of valid questionnaires was 503.The main findings of the study were as follows: 1. The sleeping quality of subjects was a little worse. Only the 40% of subjects had good sleep quality. 2. Most of subjects evaluated themselves as moderate toward subjective sleeping feeling, and their sleeping latency was less than 30 minutes. The sleeping hours for one day during weekdays were 8.19, while the ones at weekends were 9.17 hours. Their sleeping efficiency was good at both weekdays and weekends. The main reasons of everyday sleeping at weekdays were parents’ request or of fatigue but the subjects went to bed because of fatigue at weekends. 3.In sleeping problems, over 50% of the subjects were waked by feeling cold or warm, going to bathroom, and much thinking. Also, the subjects always felt that they did not sleep enough at least once a week. In daytime sleeping problems, more than 50% of the subjects were reluctant to wake up, or felt too tired at least once a week. 4.Life stress, dietary habits, and sleeping surroundings of subjects could explain 23.1% variance of the sleeping quality. The results of the study suggest that children should have good habits of diet and computer network usage, learn how to face and deal with life stress, learn time management, and arrange appropriate work and rest. Besides, the teachers and parents should understand if children’s sleeping quality is good, and emphasize children’s sleeping education and healthy lifestyle.
