Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 健康促進與衛生教育學系在職進修碩士班 === 98 === The main purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of regular exercise of elementary students and to explore the relationships between demographic characteristics and socio-psychological variables. The subjects of the study were selected from the 5th and 6th graders of an elementary school in Taipei City. By using a stratified cluster sampling method and self-administered questionnaires, 241 valid samples were collected. One-way ANOVA, Chi-square test. Independent-Samples T Test, Hotelling T2 test and Logistic regresstion were used to analyze the data. The results of the study were summarized as follows: 1. Forty six point one percent had regular exercise. The main types of exercise participated by the subjects were basketball, bicycle riding, and jogging. 2. The demographic characteristics variables had no significant difference on regular exercise behavior. 3. The regular exercise behavior had significantly positive relationships with perceived self-efficacy for exercise, enjoyment for exercise and exercise social support, while significant negative relationship with perceived barriers for exercise. 4. Ejoyment for exercise and perceived self-efficacy for exercise were significant predictors of regular exercise behavior, and the former was a more important predictor than the latter.
