The subjects were 210 young children aged four, five and six years from three public and five private kindergartens in Taipei and Taichung City. Each child’s father or mother completed the “Young Children’s Sex Role Inventory” questionnaire. In addition, all subjects participated in“Young Children’s Toy Preference Tasks” during clinical interview. The results showed as follows: 1. Parenting of gender role shows more tendency of androgyny and undifferentiated. 2. There is no obvious difference between young children’s sex and their parenting of gender role and neither is between age and the parenting of gender role. 3. There is no significant difference between young children’s age and their toy preference. However, the remarkable difference between young children’s sex and their toy preference is found. The percentage of boys choosing toys with stereotypically masculine symbols is higher than that of girls. In contrast, the percentage of girls preferring the toys with stereotypically feminine symbols is higher than that of boys. 4. Parenting of gender role has no impact on young children’s toy preference. 鍾至從 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 83 zh-TW |
