Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育經營與管理研究所碩士班 === 98 === Needs are the motivation of behaviors, and dissatisfaction of needs may cause unhealthy conditions; hence, the research of needs is very important. However, there are very few researches about the issue of needs, or because of out-of-date, these researches cannot be fitted for the present condition. Many scholars concepts also proved that needs are related to age, so this research combines these two notions to verify if teachers have different needs in different generations. In order to more clearly understand the needs of teachers in different generations, this research divides the needs of elementary-school teachers into fifteen parts based on Maslow’s need hierarchy theory. This research uses the self-editing questionnaire of "level of elementary-school teachers'' needs" to test the elementary-school teachers of Tainan City and Tainan County which is the main research targets, uses the stratifying purposive sampling to determine samples, and sends out 558 questionnaires. After eliminating useless copies, there obtained 505 effective copies. The data were conducted the analysis of item analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe’s method by the software of SPSS 12.0 and LISREL software (linear structural relation). The findings of this study are as follows: 1. The most desired and distinct needs for baby boomer’s teachers are “health condition,” “to be respected,” and “self-growth.” 2. The most desired and distinct needs for generation X’s teachers are “economic condition” and “family intimacy.” 3. The most desired and distinct needs for generation Y’s teachers are “information facilities,” “safety,” “relationship with students’ parents,” “relationship with colleagues,” and “respecting others.” Finally, based on the study results, this research proposes some suggestions to the administration managers and the future research as a referral.
