Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 98 === This study aims to apply VAKT teaching and learning activities in order to understand sustained attention and music behavior for a student with autism. Quantitative research is taken as the main method and qualitative method is used as secondary method; the object is a student with autism, and single subject experiment design is adapted, integration of VAKT (visual-audio- kinesthetic-tactile) learning strategies for designing VAKT music learning activities, with 20 times of experimental teaching. Researchers expect to understand the effect of sustained attention and music study of children. In the program teaching process, the researcher scheduled the “sustained attention when viewed from the record of behavior,” “teacher rating scale of case study’s sustained attention,” “multidimensional attention test” and other research tools for observation of sustained attention; moreover, before the teaching implementation, “music learning outcome assessment” is used to understand the effect of music learning in each case study. “The behavioral rating scale” and “teaching observation log” would also be used as support. The music learning and sensory perception reactions of the quantitative data will be collected and compared, according to statistics with the quantitative results. Attributed to the results of this study, the result is as following: 1.The VAKT learning strategy used in this study to plan and carry out music learning activities for the student with autism can effectively improve his sustained attention and music behavior. 2.Participation of VAKT music learning activities: during each stage, the change in attention are measured and the average result shows significant change, which shows the activities can increase sustained attention for the student with autism in this study. 3.Participation of VAKT music learning activities can improve music learning response, particularly in reading music scores. 4.Participation of VAKT music learning activities: can enhance the response of sensory perception, and kinesthetic-tactile response is the most significant. Finally, according to this study, suggestions will be respectively provided for the school administration, teaching, parents and future research.
