Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 美術學系碩士班 === 98 === The objective of the series of creation is to research on that although human beings possess brains of extremely high intelligence and behavioral patterns of self-awareness, they constantly change their own behavior to blindly obey others due to external environmental factors or situations. To deliberate the blind obedience from a perspective, it is like the instinct followed by lower animals to behave. Although human beings are classified in animals, they called themselves the soul of the universe; however, they abandon their self-awareness to follow animal nature in many situations.
The human blind obedience and animal instinctive activities are combined as the entry point of researching on the creation. Social psychology assists the creation ideas in the perspectives of politics, elegance, pop culture, the pursuit of dreams; from 2006 to 2009, six works, the series of three-dimensional devices, were created. Chapter Two elaborates on ‘animal instinct’, ‘human beings’, ‘blind obedience phenomena’, and relative sociality behavior. Chapter Three discusses the meaning of creation, self creative concept, and the analyzed the style of the series of works.
The series of works is presented through the device space built by the elements of groups and quantity. The model is shaped from the human body and transformed to combine with the animal model through stretching the proportion, changing and simplifying the appearance. Various materials, such as Styrofoam, paper pulp, charcoal powder, FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), slides, fluorescent powder, luminous powder, hot melt adhesive, and transparent polyethylene, are tried to be the creation elements.
