Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育學系課程與教學碩士班 === 98 === This study compiled a set of curriculum on gender equity for the fourth grade elementary school students based on related theory, document and the Competence Indicators. Ten units were included and practiced in the integrative activities class. The main purpose of this study is to explore the effect that the Gender Equity Curriculum has on elevating the gender consciousness of elementary school students in the fourth grade. A quasi-experimental design was adopted to 64 subjects. One class with 33 students was assigned to experimental group and the other class with 31 students was assigned to control group. The experimental group received 10 weeks of experimental courses with 80 minutes per week while the control group did not. The self-established Gender Consciousness Scale was conducted as the assessment tools. The data collected was analyzed by One-way ANCOVA. To evaluate the effectiveness of the experimental courses, qualitative analysis, the feedback of students’ and parents’ questionnaires, records of students’ learning reaction, as well as peer-gathering were also applied. Finally, the results were discussed at the latter part of this study. Some concrete conclusions and suggestions on education and research were also provided for the reference of other teachers who are going to engage in this project. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1.)The experimental group is better than the control group on gender consciousness. 2.)There are no significant differences between boys and girls in their attitude toward gender consciousness in this experimental group. 3.)Most of the experimental group students hold a positive attitude toward this curriculum. Thus, this curriculum is highly accepted by students, and it also helps to build up teamwork in the course of the experiment.
