Survey and semi-structure interview were used to collect data. Two classes of third-grade students, a gifted class and a regular class, in a junior high school in Taichung participated in this study. After compare views and perceptions in gifted class with those in regular class , the findings of this study are summarized as follows: 1. Significant differences in views to NOS are found between students in gifted class and those regular class. However, no significant difference between both classes is found in some dimensions of NOS. It implies that the social scientific activities are required in science teaching. 2. Both class have a significant difference in preferred perceptions upon the dimension of OE (open-endedness scale), and no significant difference is found upon other dimensions of perceptions of laboratory environments. 3. In both classes , the relationship between views to NOS and perceptions of laboratory environments are not significantly correlated. 4. Students’ academic achievement in science does not significantly correlate with their views to NOS and perceptions of laboratory environments. This study suggests that teachers should apply multiple assessment to evaluate the academic achievement of students. To aware the differences among different students is also recommended to science teachers. Jer-Yann Lin 林哲彥 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 115 zh-TW |
