In this paper, the symbolic interactionism was used as a framework of this research. The reseacher invited six mothers who live in Nantou County to explore their motherings, and also collected data by interview. Finally, according to the data of the interviews were analyzed and discussed. The major research findings are as following: 1. The subject mothering of the mothers who have the children with special needs: The mothers become the key-point of caring the children with special needs by the traditional concepts. Moreover, they have different ways to deal with their problems. 2. The subject mothering of the mothers who have the normal children. That everyone can replace the mothering of the mothers have the normal children, for their daily cares, entering the tution after school,and learning some talent skills. However, nobody can do the motherings of the mothers who have the children with special needs, due to the dependency. 3. From the interactions between the mothers who have the children with special needs and others: (1) mothers and their families, the mothers who have the children with significant special needs taught the families skills to take care of them; the families refuse the mothers who have the children with suspected special needs to accept the early intervention. (2) mothers and the professionals, the professionals offer the mothers mothers who have the children with special needs the formal system informations.(3) mothers and others: the current community is more friendly, including legislations, education, informations and so on. Based on the results of this study, some suggestions were proposed for the early intervention professionals, the relevant services of caregivers and further studies in the future.
