By designed questionnaire, the self perception and participation in early intervention of the pediatric nurses from hospitals in cental Taiwan were reported. The 123 pediatric nurses were willing to participate in this study. Freauency statistics, t test and one way ANOVA were used to analysis data. The results of the study were as following: 1.The majority of pediatric nurses was 21-30 years old, single, licensed as registered nurse, N1 and N2, had under 5-year experience and graduated from colleges. Less than 30% pediatric nurses had opportunity to discuss about the service with other professionals, and less than 20% pediatric nurses had opportunity to refer community resource. 2.There was significant difference between different department and self perception in early intervention of pediatric nurses. 3.There was significant difference between different education level and participation in early intervention of pediatric nurses. There was significant difference between different department and participation in early intervention of pediatric nurses. There was significant difference between if had opportunity to disscuss with social workers and participation in early intervention of pediatric nurses. 4.The self perception in early intervention of pediatric nurses was higher than participation. There were significant positive associated with self perception and participation. Based on the findings above, suggestions were provided for policy and clinic issues.
