碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 教育學系 === 98 === This study aimed to investigate the teachers of elementary schools and analyze teachers’ identification of the function of reward system and the ways of prizes. The problems of using reward system and percipience of solution were also discussed. This study was based on literary and questionnaire survey. Stratified random sampling was used in this survey. This questionnaire surveyed 632 teachers of 56 public elementary schools in Taichung County. Number of effective responding questionnaire was 570, with a 94% valid percentage. Research instrument was questionnaire entitled “Using the reward system in elementary schools in Taichung County”. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics (SPSS 12.0 for Windows), times of using, percentage analyzing, t test and one way ANOVA. Base on the true instances. Main findings were as following: 1. High ratio of teachers identified with the function of reward system. 2. Higher ratio of teachers identified with some ways of prizes of reward system. 3. Teachers’ percipience of problems of reward system were in a low to medium level. 4. Teachers’ percipience of solution of the reward system were in a medium to high level. 5. Female teachers’ percipience of “improving ways” of reward system were in a high level. With findings obtained, this study made suggestions to schools, teachers and future researchers.
