Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 美術學系碩士班 === 99 === The purpose of this study is to discuss the art creation of the hand image or hand movements from the perspectives of Art Creation and Theory. Through the expression of the artwork as well as the process of creating the work piece, the artists hope to inspire the public to pay attention to the daily life, the value of life, the spirit and meaning of life in reality, and to record the phenomenon of life in the contemporary society. This study analyzes the emotion and symbolic meaning of the hand movement that can be seen in the daily life from the following perspectives: hand communication, natural emotion, cultural symbols and aesthetic of art. The realism adopted three main techniques of traditional oil painting to depict the surroundings with a subtle insight. The themes extend to the concerns of modern life and record the commonly seen hand movements in the daily life, so as to express their feelings and thoughts towards the hand movements and life. It also adopted the disciplines of Surrealism to enlarge and associate the objects, showing the tension and narrative of the image. We categorized the art creations into two series based on the content: “Daily life series” and “News record series”. The art creation enable us to pay attention to the subtle details that we often overlook in our daily life, and to understand the real needs and feelings of life through the silent observation and communication of hand movements.
