During this research, the researcher applied the self-designed sensory integration activities in her second grade music class for three months. The major research findings are as follows:
1.The use of these activities that were designed to improve children’s attention contributed in a number of ways: the children became more aware of being honorable, more interested in articipating in games and activities, and paid more attention to the activities. When targeted children were encouraged appropriately, the activities continued more smoothly, better class atmosphere were present and children showed more interest in learning and were more attentive.
2.When sensory integration activities were incorporated, the learning effects that have improved for the second graders were: children were more calm quiet, and attentive before class started. As they were singing songs, their facial expression showed that they were more concentrated. The most profound findings were that children were singing happily, tapping on the beat and were able to read music. Generally, children believe that having music class helped them to relax.
