Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士班 === 98 === This study aimed to investigate how a kindergarten teacher’s beliefs affect her implementation of life education. A kindergarten teacher in an elementary school was selected as the participant to explore her beliefs in the implementation of life education and factors affecting her life education. The qualitative case research method was adopted, and research data were collected from interviews, class observations, and related document.
The main findings of this study include:
1. The content of life education implemented by this teacher consists of three parts, including “human and self”, “human and society”, and “human and nature”.
2. The core beliefs to which this teacher adheres in the implementation of life education are “eternal lives”, “the principles of karma”, and “seeing one’s merits and thinking of his/her beneficence”.
3. Factors affecting this teacher’s beliefs in life education include family education, learning process, teaching experience, student growth, and parent feedback. However, religious illumination and professional training are the main factors that have shaped this teacher’s beliefs in life education.
