Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣體育學院 === 運動管理學系碩士班 === 98 ===   The purpose of this study was aimed to explore the relationship between service quality and participant’s satisfaction for 2009 Taitung International Triathlon Race. Subjects for this study were participants in this event. The scale entitled “2009 Taitung International Triathlon Race Service Quality and Participants Satisfaction Questionnaire” was used as tool to collect data. 260 questionnaires were distributed and 252 were valid responded corresponding with a 97% of return rate. The data was analyzed by SPSS 12.0 with descriptive statistics, item analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, independent samples T-test, One-Way ANONA, scheffe and canonical correlation analysis.   The result revealed that: gender and residence have a positive influence on service quality, male perceived higher service quality than female; the participant’s living in off-shore islands also perceived higher service quality than participant’s living in southern part of Taiwan. In satisfaction, male perceived higher satisfaction than female. Participant’s who perecived higher service quality on “Empathy”, “Assurance” and “Reliability” contributed to a higher satisfaction on “Human resources”, “Facilities”, “Security” and “Convenience”.
