Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 技術及職業教育研究所 === 98 === The purpose of the study was to explore the relationship of self-concept and obscene language behavior for junior high school students in Pingtung. The main research method is a questionnaire survey which including 835 students in Pingtung county. The total number of valid return was 783 with a valid return rate of 93.77%. Research instruments used in the study were obscene language behavior scale and self-concept scale. The data have been analyzed through statistical methods, such as t -test, one way analysis of variance, and stepwise multiple regression. The conclusions of the study were as follows: 1. The average scores of the subjective norm on obscene language behavior in Pingtung is the best of all levels, but average scores of the obscene language behavior in Pingtung is the worst of all levels. 2. The effect of sex, grade, the ways of mother’s education and socio-economic status of family on obscene language behavior in Pingtung county is significant. 3. The average scores of the social self on self-concept in Pingtung is the highest of all levels, but average scores of self confidence on self-concept in Pingtung is the lowest of all levels. 4. The effect of sex and grade on self-concept is not significant. But the effect of the ways of parental education and socio-economic status of family on self-concept in Pingtung county is significant. 5. The three variables of self-concept, emotion self, moral self and social self, can effectively predict obscene language behavior up to 22.9% Finally, according to the results of the study, I have some suggestions and advices to the guidance of education, parents and students for future research.
