A rest period is required between two measures of hand grip strength in order to achieve a required precision. If the difference between two measures is greater than 10%, then a third measure is required to confirm. However, the length of rest period will affect the measures. If the rest period is too short, then the second hand grip strength measure will be smaller and vice versa. Fourteen male participants were recruited in the study. Roll up activities are executed in the study to simulate 3 lengths of rest periods (10 seconds, 20 seconds, and 30 seconds), two loadings (750 g and 1250 g). Three parts of limb (thumb, 4-finger, and arm) are measured the rolling performance to find a better measuring method. The results show the best rest period are 10 and 20 seconds for thumb and 4-finger respectively before the rolling activities are activated. The 3rd, 4th and 5th measures are the most precise measures. The rest period for arm is 30 seconds. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th measures for thumb and the 4th and 5th measures for 4-finge are more accurate measures for executed the heavy loading rolling activities (1250g). The thumb and arm need 20 second rest period between two consecutive measures. After rolling the 750g loading, thumb should use 4th, 5th, and 6th measures and 4-finger should use 4th and 5th measures. Thumb needs 10 seconds and 4-finger needs 20 seconds rest period to have precise measures. Keywords: roll-up task, measure for griping strength, the reduce ratio for griping strength.
