Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 體育學系 === 98 === The primary purpose of this study was to discuss the effects of eight-week exercise curriculum intervention on the body image among elementary school students.Study participants were the 120 sixth graders at Yong Fang Primary School in Kaohsiung County(the participants average age:11.73±0.33 years old, average height:149.15±7.26 cm, average body weight:45.50±11.80kg). Who were divided by half into an experimental group and a control group according to their classes. The experimental group walked for 40 minutes, three times per week, for 8 weeks, while the control group received no exercise curriculum intervention. A self-designed questionnaire on body image was used as the research tool, with different types of groups and gender and tests as the independent variables and the score on each measurement scale and healthy fitness test as the dependent variable.Three-way ANOVA was used to analyze the experiments. If the effects reached a significance level, then a simple main effect test would be conducted. If the effects reached a significance level, then a Simple Simple main effect test would be conducted. The α level was set at .05. The following conclusions were obtained:
1.Exercise curriculum intervention has effectively improved the body image health evaluation, assessment of body perception and movement ability, and satisfaction with body parts. among the experimental group of boys and girls.
2.Exercise curriculum intervention has effectively improved Stand long jump,modified sit and reach,one-minute sit-ups, and 800-meter running and walking. among the experimental group of boys and girls. BMI was no significance difference.
