Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 教育學系 === 98 === The aim of this study was to investigate the relation between job stress and job satisfaction of elementary school teachers and status quo in Kaohsiung City. Meanwhile, the influences of teachers’ backgrounds were studied as well. To achieve the purpose, this study was based on Questionnaire Survey and implemented Questionnaire of Teachers’ Job Stress and Job Satisfaction in Kaohsiung elementary school. The samples of this study were 632 teachers from 31 elementary schools in Kaohsiung City. The data were analyzed by Descriptive statistics, T-test, One-Way ANOVA, Scheffé method, Pearson’s product - moment Correlation and Multiple Stepwise Regression Analysis. Based on our finding, the main conclusions of this study are as follows, 1.The degree of job stress of the elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City is moderate, which "reform adaptation" aspect is the highest level of perceived stress and "interpersonal relationships" is the lowest one. 2.The personal background variables of elementary teachers in Kaohsiung City affected the job stress. 3.The job satisfaction of Kaohsiung City elementary teacher is moderate, which "psychological meet” is the highest level of satisfaction and "pursuing further education and promotion," is the lowest level of satisfaction. 4.The personal background variables of elementary teachers in Kaohsiung City would affect job satisfaction. 5.The Kaohsiung City elementary teachers’ job stress had correlation between job satisfaction, and interpersonal relationships and overall job satisfaction had the closest connection. According to the findings of this study, the article offers some suggestions to education administration, schools and teachers.
