Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 教育心理與輔導學系 === 98 === The present study examined the terror management function of close parent-offspring relationships for the middle-age parents. It was found that the contextual salience of thoughts about the positive aspects of parent-offspring relationship reduced the effects of mortality salience on judgments of un-filial transgressions. The preexisting close parent-offspring relationship was also found to have the same effect. The findings suggest that for parents, close parent-offspring relationship can function as a terror management mechanism.
