| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 特殊教育學系 === 98 === The purposes of this study was to compare the current condition of Self-concept and parent-child communication of the hearing children of the deaf parents and the hearing children of the hearing children. According to different background variables, researcher found out the differences in the hearing children of the deaf parents. Furthermore, researcher wanted to understand the relation between Self-concept and Parent-Child Communication. The data was collected by Snowball sampling and Purposive sampling. There were 76 subjects with the deaf parents and 61 subjects with the hearing parents. Data were analyzed by the method of descriptive and inferential statistics, including t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation.
The major results of the study are as follows：
1. The scores of Self-Concept between the hearing children of the deaf parents and the hearing children of the hearing parents are no significantly different.
2. The scores of Parent-Child Communication between the hearing children of the deaf parents and the hearing children of the hearing parents are no significantly different.
3. The different background variables make the results of the hearing children of the deaf parents on of Self-Concept and Parent-Child Communication.
(1) The different background variables make the their differences of Self-Concept for the hearing children of the deaf parents.
A. Different background variables including socioeconomic status, and role reversal make the hearing children’s whole Self-Concept vary greatly.
B. Different background variables including age, caregivers, socioeconomic status, and role reversal make the hearing children’s family Self-Concept vary greatly.
C. Different background variables including sex, socioeconomic status make the hearing children’s school Self-Concept vary greatly.
D. The variable in role reversal makes the hearing children’s emotional Self-Concept vary greatly.
E. The variable in role reversal makes the hearing children’s social Self-Concept vary greatly.
F. Different background variables including birth order, parents’ hearing status and communication situation make the hearing children’s Self-Concept in every aspect vary no greatly.
(2) The different background variables make the their differences of Parent-Child Communication for the hearing children of the deaf parents.
A. Different background variables including sex, age, birth order, socioeconomic status, and role reversal make the hearing children’s Parent-Child Communication in every aspect vary no greatly.
B. The variable in caregivers makes the hearing children’s whole
communication and with mother’s communication vary greatly.
4. Between the hearing children’s “Self-Concept” and “Parent-Child Communication” has a significant positive correlation.
