Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 特殊教育學系 === 98 === The study was aimed to explore the enhancements of social competence learning effectiveness through social story for two 2nd grade students with Autism.
A single-subject experimental design of A-B-A design was used, in order to investigate the learning effectiveness in baseline, intervention and follow-up. The independent variables were social stories I’ll try to wait, I need help, I ‘ll learn to wait , and Inviting classmates to play together . The dependent variables were learning effectiveness of waiting , self-expressing ; and the acceptance of teacher and classmates. Data were analyzed by visual analysis, C statistics analysis, the effect size, and interview questionnaire.
The main results of this study were as follows:
1. Social story could effectively enhance the learning effectiveness of social competence for two
2nd grade students with Autism. .
2. Social story could effectively enhance the acceptance of teachers and classmates. Teachers felt
autism students had learned how to wait and express themselves, and showed positive attitude
for their inclusion in regular classroom. Classmates also had better acceptance for autism
students, and became more like to have interactions with them.
