Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 特殊教育學系 === 98 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect on the social behaviors of three preschool children with mental retardation who participated in a music inclusive group. Three normal classmates selected also participated in the group for modeling and assistance. The group was 5 weeks, 2 sessions per week, and every session was 35 minutes. The objectives of the group were to increase the positive social behaviors and decrease the negative social behaviors of the three subjects with mental retardation. A single-subject design with a reversal method was employed and the data were collected during the baseline, the treatment, and the follow-up periods. The 4 positive and the 2 negative social behaviors of the subjects were presented by charts and analyzed by using visual analysis. In addition, the social validity scales written by the teacher and the parents, and the researcher‘s group records were used for the supplementary explanations of the results. The findings of this study were as follows: 1.The positive social behaviors of “taking the initiative action” , “giving positive response to others” and “cooperating with others”during social interaction of the subjects increased. 2.The positive social behaviors of “taking turn” of two of the subjects with moderate mental retardation increased, but not for the subject with severe mental retardation. 3.The negative social behaviors of “inappropriately taking the initiative action” and ”giving negative response to others” during social interaction of all the subjects decreased, but not in the same level for three of them. 4.The teacher and the parents considered that the group improved the social behaviors of the subjects. 5.The subjects’ language expression and emotion management also improved. 6.The preschool children with severe mental retardation might need more interventions to maintain his effects.
