The method of this study was based on action research. The research objects were a mix-aged class of Rose Elementary School in Pingtung County. In a period of one semester, researcher examined and coded the observations, teaching notes, teaching reflections, young children’s creative works. The results of this research were indicated as follows: 1. The course of literacy teaching (1) The literacy process of My School , the main topic of the course, was the pre-stage of literacy teaching. (2) The literacy process of Merry Christmas , the main topic of the course, was the developing-stage of literacy teaching. (3) The literacy process of Here Comes the Nian Monster, the main topic of the course, was the comprehensive-stage of literacy teaching. 2. The strategies of literacy teaching (1) Applied language experiences graph. (2) Provided writing circumstances. (3) Connected with feeding experiences. (4) Created pocket books. (5) Used the skill of discussion and comparison of picture books. (6) Extended the art works, dramas, stories creating and narrating from the picture books.
