Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東商業技術學院 === 資訊工程系(所) === 98 === VANET is a technology that can send information through the wireless communication network to provide messages for all the drivers about the traffic conditions in the coverage of transmission, and to communicate the relevant information to others in order to enhance the driving efficiency, safety and comfort for drivers. In VANET routing technology, Flooding routing protocol sends high speed packets by using widespread broadcast. Though they have the advantages of high success rate of packet transmission and less delay time, a large number of forward packets are causing the high flood of network bandwidth. We propose a new transmission method to reduce the number of packet transmission. Before the packet will be transmitted, we compute the distance between nodes and neighboring nodes to determine that they are in the coverage of transmission. If all neighbor nodes are not in the coverage of transmission, we define that the node is Terminal node, which can not forward packets. The experiment results show that our proposed method has the better performance in the high-load networks. When the network is disconnected, our proposed method can avoid a large number of packets from being transferred to reduce the waste of network bandwidth.
