Summary: | 碩士 === 南開科技大學 === 福祉科技與服務管理所 === 98 === To control blood pressure, the first step is to have regular blood pressure checks. According to a 2006 survey by the Department of Health, 60% of families have automatic blood pressure monitors, but the percentage of those who measure their blood pressure is less than 20%. Based on this reason, the purpose of the study is to use Integrated Technology Acceptance Model including the perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude of the use, willing of the use, the actual behavior of use and subjective norms aspects to explore the acceptance attitude for the older people using automatic blood pressure monitor. The correlations among six aspects are also analyzed. Older people aged 50 and over living in central Taiwan who have used and automatic blood pressure monitor were selected for the research subjects. The questionnaire was designed and SPSS 12.0 statistical analysis software was used as the data analysis tool. The results show that older people agree with the ease of use and usefulness of blood pressure monitors. They are also very willing to use blood pressure monitors. The use of blood pressure monitors will be positively affected by subjective norms. Six aspects have positive correlations. Older people generally perceive the blood pressure monitors are easy to use for their knowledge. This can enhance self-health management. However, the actual frequency of using them is relatively low. We suggest that the government authority should use media power and public opinion to promote the health education on hypertension prevention and control. The related vendors should also invite experts and scholars to conduct promotional activities in developing marketing strategies to increase the rate of use of blood pressure monitors at home and then effectively control hypertension.
